Dear SBASL members,

As many of you know I relocated to the UK a little over 18 months ago. I have attempted to run SBASL from afar since my move, but the time zone challenges proved too difficult to overcome. In retrospect, it has become obvious to me that a local soccer league needs local involvement and on-site management. So, I am very sad to say that I must close down SBASL effective as of the end of this current summer season.

I am hopeful that all of the players who have participated in SBASL in the past will find other organizations in which to continue to play. I am aware of a new league that is forming called Beyond The Game. It is run by two gentlemen who have been long-time players in SBASL, John Tom and Shawn McCarson. Based upon what I know of these two, I believe they will work hard to provide an enjoyable soccer experience for their members. The website for this new league is:
